Aaron has worked in a range of IT roles, from server and network support, to workstation administration, consulting and service management.  He currently works as a network architect and consultant with the Education sector. When not madly pounding on keyboards, he can usually be found racing sailboats, or riding his motorcycle on the back roads of Vancouver Island.

One tool that has unified virtual and traditional server managment is a plugin for the WhatsUp Gold monitoring platform, called WhatsVirtual.  And Ipswitch, makers of WhatsUp Gold, announced this week that an update to their WhatsVirtual plugin for WhatsUp Gold would be released on July 13, 2010.  The update adds a large number of powerful features to the plugin, making it easier to monitor virtual machines more effectively.
